Tainted Xaphan

Tainted Xaphan is a Tainted character added in The Ascent of Isaac: Godmode.

He can be unlocked by opening the hidden closet in Home.png Home (using Red Key.png, link = https://bindingofisaacrebirth.fandom.com/wiki/Cracked_Key Cracked Key, or Soul of Cain.png Soul of Cain on the left corridor) while playing as XaphanHead.pngXaphan.

He starts the run with only one Black Heart and Wikihover Adramolechs fury.png Adramolech's Fury. He also has Flight by default. He also has a shade trail effect when moving but it's only cosmetic.

Tainted Xaphan works similarly to XaphanHead.png Xaphan but his active has more maximum charges, each hit makes him lose way more charges, each charge grants a stat boost and he can get some great loot if he's able to completely charge the item.

Abilities & Traits

Adramolech's Fury

  • Tainted Xaphan stats depends of how many charges Adramolech's Fury has. The more charges it has, the better the stats are.
    • Tainted Xaphan immediatly starts with 10 charges on run start.
    • Adramolech's Fury works the same as with any other characters.
      • Charges negate damage taken, losing 20 charge on hit.
      • Each charge grants a small all stats up.
      • 50% chance for each enemy to become a marked champion.
      • Charges either when :
        • a marked champion or any boss dies, converting them into charge based on Max Health.
        • any non Angel Room.png Angel Item is picked up, converting items into charge based on quality.
      • On use, you are teleported to a unique Devil Room.png Devil Room layout, granting 3 free Devil Room.png Devil items with BlackHeart.png Black Hearts and Soul of Isaac.png Soul of Isaac in the room.

"Boundless Fury"

  • Adramolech's Fury has 75% chance to mark enemies instead of 50%.
  • Each marked enemy has 25% chance to not become champion.

Unlockable Achievements

Trivia

  • Xaphan is one of the Fallen Angels rebelling against God with Satan. He proposed to set fire to Heaven during the Rebellion. He's been fanning the furnaces of hell ever since.
  • Xaphan's eyes will grow more molten the higher charge Adramolech's Fury is.
